My car is a 1971 Ford Mustang Standard Convertible.
I’m proud to own this example of a “RestoMod”.
It looks stock on the outside (including stock steel
wheels and hubcaps), but many improvements have been
made. I’ve added a stock deluxe center console,
stock rally pac with gauges, stock outside racing mirrors,
a Mustang AM/FM, Tape, 6 CD stereo and a security alarm
system.
Major Modifications

I bought my ‘stang in 1983…I’m the
3rd owner! The thing I like best about this ‘stang
is that it is magic…when I drive it, I become
18 years old again. That’s shaving 48 years off
my life…WOW! My sweetheart Shirley Johnson and
I most love to take it on club caravans and events.
Car shows also have been a frequent activity during
the last 4 years.
My favorite story about my ‘stang is that while
I was going through a recent divorce, my wife had temporary
custody of it. I had the 1995 Isuzu Rodeo SUV, temporarily.
When the divorce was final, I was to have the ‘stang
back, but my ex-wife wouldn’t return it to me.
One day, I drove to her workplace and with the extra
set of keys I recovered my ‘stang and left the
Rodeo for her. Boy, did that ever tick her off!!
If money was no object, I would like to have a completely
restored 1938 Ford 4-door Touring Convertible or a 1931
Model A Victoria. They would have to have been upgraded
mechanically and technically, of course.
