I wanted a Cougar since I was a little
girl and first saw the sequential turn signals on one
that roared by us...years later I walked out my front
door and there she was with a for sale sign on her. After
negotiating for a week with the kid I got her for $500.
During the 6 years I owned her I bought and sold many
new cars, but not once did I ever consider selling her.
In 2003 I came into some money to fix her up. So off to
the body shop she went. It took six weeks to find the
right shade of purple for her, and about the same amount
of time to find her rims. I had the original motor rebuilt
and painted purple too.. of course. I did the interior
and reconditioned many of her parts myself. I even painted
her shocks. (Purple is NOT my favorite color) She is my
pride and joy and I wouldn't sell her for any amount of
money. She's part of the family and I hope to pass her
down to my boys (when I'm dead of course!) |
